Apollo and the Moon

Apollo 13

Apollo 13 was the planned to be the third manned landing on the Moon. The mission took place in April 1970.

Early in the voyage there was a rupture in the Service Module oxygen tank. Due to various imaginative fixes, and the fact that the Lunar module was available, the crew rounded the moon and returned safely to Earth.
